Homepage content settings
This article will outline various settings for your homepage including, content, defaults, general, group map coordinates and social links.
This section contains four options for you to customize.
Platform short description describes your website and displays in the footer of your homepage.
Custom Post Event Survey Mention URL allows you to select custom attributes such as Chapter City and Event ID and pass through that data via a 3rd party survey URL. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to configure this.
This section helps you manage placeholder content and contains three options.
Group page featured video allows you to set a default YouTube video for all Chapter pages.
Location widget default latitude and longitude acts as the default location for the homepage upcoming events search.
This section allows you to edit various settings that apply globally across the site.
Site title - Enter a name for your site here. This will appear in a browser’s tab.
Site tagline - Enter a tagline for your site here. This will appear in a browser’s tab.
Branding link in header - Clicking on your brand’s logo in the header will redirect to the address you enter in this field. The default is the homepage.
Branding link in footer - Clicking on your brand’s logo in the footer will redirect to the address you enter in this field. The default is the homepage.
Show total members on group pages - Selecting this checkbox will display total members of a specific group on that group’s page.
Show total attendees on event pages - Selecting this checkbox will display total attendees of a specific event on that event’s page.
Restrict search results to one country - Selecting this checkbox will restrict chapter search results to only one country.
Group / HQ Invoice Split - This defines the pay split between a payment lead and the HQ set bank account. An 80 here would be an 80/20 split between group and HQ. A value of 0 disables this setting. Disregard if you are not using event payouts in Bevy.
Enable mailing list banner - Selecting this checkbox enables the mailing list banner on both the homepage (when supported) and on the group page, as shown below.
Group application URL - Enter the last half of the URL you want to use for members to access your group application form. Example: for this URL, https://www.startupgrind.com/start/, you’d enter “/start/”
Internal help desk URL - When you enter a URL here, the Bevy dashboard will include a link in the top-right menu to your internal help desk platform.
Group map coordinates
These settings will determine the placement of the map showing your chapters on your homepage and group pages.
Center Latitude - Centers the map based on the latitude you enter.
Center Longitude - Centers the map based on the longitude you enter.
Google map zoom level - Determines the zoom level of your map. Only whole numbers will be accepted.
This section includes fields for you to enter social links for your organization.
Social options include:
- Organization Twitter handle
- Social hashtag
Note: Organization Twitter handle and Social hashtag allow you to add specific handles and hashtags for event sharing tweets.
